USA Last 20 Years of the Obsolete Lincoln Wheat-Ear Penny 1939-1958 Novelty Coin Set
The Lincoln Wheat-Ear Penny was the very first American coin to feature a portrait of a real person. This was, of course, President Abraham Lincoln, and the 1909 coin was struck to celebrate his 100th birthday. Lincoln never left the American penny, but the wheat ears did, being replaced by the Lincoln Memorial to coincide with the president's 150th birthday in 1959. This novelty collector's board comes with 20 Wheat-Ear cents from the last two decades of production for you to place and display -- a fun exercise for a history buff or a numismatics enthusiast.
Please note, boards are sealed and in generally great shape, but do not appear to have been manufactured with consistent colouring. Some boards have a bit of a green undertone, while others are more pink-based. We cannot guarantee what colour you will get. Image is an example of the board you will receive.
