Gibraltar 1997 Yorkshire Terrier Crown Coin (light wear)
The Yorkshire Terrier (or "Yorkie") was bred in the mid-1800s as a toy version of the much larger terrier bloodlines. Still retaining the terrier instinct to hunt rats and other vermin, but small in size, Yorkies quickly became favourites among the British working class, who employed them as ratters in factories, mines, and in their homes. Today, they make popular pets worldwide for their intelligence, courage, and highly trainable nature.
Issued by Gibraltar, this crown coin features an artistic rendering of the Yorkshire terrier on the reverse. It comes in an informational pamphlet, which is in good condition despite its age. Please note, some minor signs of wear and handling may be apparent.
