1979 USA New American Dollar First Day of Issue Covers in Presentation Folder (issues)
Susan B. Anthony dollars were minted from 1979 to 1981, when production ceased due to poor public acceptance. It was intended as a replacement for the large Eisenhower dollar, but the size and colour made it easy to mix up with the quarter, and so it was quickly retired. A new, gold-coloured dollar featuring Sacagawea was introduced instead. This elegant folder contains three First Day of Issue Covers featuring the Susan B. Anthony dollar, new in 1979, from each of the three mints: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco.
Please note, this item is in great condition but does show some signs of age. Coins show some toning and paper has yellowed somewhat.
