1968 Unification of Canadian Armed Forces Bronze Medal
In 1968, the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Army, and the Royal Canadian Air Force unified into the Canadian Armed Forces. This large bronze medal (52mm / 85g) commemorates the occasion with the Canadian Armed Forces emblem on the obverse. The reverse shows a symbolic coming together of three maple leaves representing each of the organizations. An elegant and interesting little piece of tangible Canadian history!
