1870 Wide Rim Canada 5-cents AU-UNC (AU55) Scratched, marks, or impaired
Wide Rim Variety: Before the coinage of 1870 was complete, new master tools for the Canada 5-cents piece were introduced with the result that two varieties were created for that year. The first has wide rims (including unusually long rim denticles) on the obverse and reverse, and the second has more conventional narrow rims.
