Vitamin C has also been shown to help slow the production of age spots and provides some UV protection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are quite a few \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003ewater soluble\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e vitamin C products available for formulators : this is our most expensive one - and,  of the water soluble ones, the most stable in oxidating conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy inhibiting tyrosinase activity, MAP is capable of suppressing skin pigmentation, making it effective in whitening dark skin, or areas of dark skin.  It should be noted, one study indicated it might be needed at a concentration of 10% to be effective at inhibiting melanin production\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMany commentators argue that Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) has the same potential to boost skin collagen synthesis as does Ascorbic Acid ( which will start to yellow as  soon as you have finished making your product), but at lower concentrations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor those with sensitive skin or those wanting to avoid the exfoliating effects of highly acidic Ascorbic Acid, MAP is our recommendation\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e Useage 1%- 10% in water phase.
